The Entrepreneurship Development Foundation for Women and Youth was established by a group of managers and Entrepreneurs in November 2005 as a non-profit and non-governmental organization.
The Foundation aims to Encourage develop thinking and productive activity amongst Iranian women and youth to prepare the ground for boosting their self-confidence regarding their role in the society as effective forces. It attempts to increase their efficiency in economic, social and cultural spheres and to expand their active participation in the development and national empowerment of the country.
The founders of the foundation have attempted to bring together creative minds and professional experience by appreciating the role of effective elements in the process of promoting and Entrepreneurship at the national level. The founders have chosen their members based on the following criteria:

- Innovation and Entrepreneurship
- Social reconciliation
- Trust-worthiness
- Background in executive management along with practical experience
- Sense of responsibility at national level
- Diversity of Members in gender, field of activity, specialty, and social standing

Based upon the criteria named above, a large number of famous managers and job-generators, particularly from the private sector, have joined the Foundation and support its objectives.

Objectives and Responsibilities
The development of the culture of Entrepreneurship for women and youth and the materialization of the goals set for different levels of the society are among the objectives and responsibilities of the foundation. The main objectives of the foundation are as follow:

1. Developing and promoting culture of creativity, innovation and Entrepreneurship
2. Exploring creative and entrepreneur talents in the country
3. Assisting in organizing of creative Entrepreneur ideas
4. Striving to materialize creative ideas
5. Supporting educational activities for entrepreneurship and implementing similar plans at national and regional levels
6. Assisting in increasing the managerial capacity of entrepreneurship
7. Establishing of an information bank and network for entrepreneurs to support them scientifically and technically and to monitor their feedback on the process of    entrepreneurship in the country and the region
8. Providing new Business opportunities
9. Attempting in reforming and improving Business laws and establishing support systems in entrepreneurship environment within the framework of the existing laws
10. Helping in the development of entrepreneur theories at the national level
11. Supporting the transfer of knowledge and technology for entrepreneurship
12. Providing results of the new patterns for entrepreneurship
13. Connecting with credible national and regional entrepreneurship organizations
14. Providing consultation services for entrepreneurs and related official bodies
15. Promoting the culture of Business development by producing documentaries and television programs
16. Assisting in attracting and channeling governmental resources for successful entrepreneurs development plans
17. Aiding in the development of the capacity and capability of educational and consulting institutions for entrepreneurship
18. Improving the systems and methods of official centers and organizations such as banks, financial and credit institutions for creating more entrepreneurship opportunities
19. Supporting the development of national and regional research studies for entrepreneurship
20. Providing training for consultants of small and medium Business
21. Establishing joint cooperation with credible international and foreign institutions for entrepreneurship development
22. Providing proposals for legal bills to support innovative investment on entrepreneurship and new plans such as providing supports for intellectual ownership
23. Attempting to establish managerial and scientific competency of managers to attract private capital for entrepreneurship development activities
24. Trying to attract credit and financial institutions to support the Foundation
25. Attracting credible national and regional institutions and bodies for joining the Foundation and supporting its objectives
26. Participating in the establishment of cultural and scientific centers for the achieving the goals
27. Performing any necessary activity to achieve the objectives of the Foundation
